We have been having massive spam and virus trouble (around 200 pieces
of spam per day, all to the Rooftop Sessions addresses!), so we have have
eliminated the actual e-mail links in the website and all of the old
Rooftop Sessions e-mail addresses, which are nothing but huge spam and
virus sinks. Thus, you've been redirected to this page.
The basic way to contact Susan Ryan (Publisher and
Editor-in-Chief) for any purpose is to send an e-mail to editorDIESPAMMERDIEDIE@rooftopsessions.com.
To contact Sharon Richards (Poetry Editor), send an e-mail to sharonDIESPAMMERDIEDIE@rooftopsessions.com.
Of course, you will have to remove the DIESPAMMERDIEDIE part when you copy or type the
address into your new e-mail. THESE ARE
NOT HOTLINKS, so you must copy or type them in manually in
order to send us e-mail. This is to prevent spammers from
"gleaning" hotlinks from the website.
If you're submitting STORIES, ARTICLES or ESSAYS: Please CLEARLY STATE that
this is a ROOFTOP SESSIONS SUBMISSION (using those exact words) in
your subject line, sending your e-mail to SUSAN RYAN. We automatically delete anything questionable
that comes in from e-mail addresses we do not recognize, particularly
if they contain attachments that may be problematic, so if you don't
say that in your subject line, we will not read
the message and your submission will be tossed without ever being
seen. Please virus-check it before you attach it to the email.
We get WAY too many viruses, and won't accept anything that comes in
diseased.
If you're submitting POETRY: Please CLEARLY STATE that this
is a ROOFTOP SESSIONS POETRY SUBMISSION (using those exact words), and
follow all other instructions above, sending your e-mail to SHARON
RICHARDS.
If you want to join the mailing list: Please CLEARLY STATE
that this is a MAILING LIST REQUEST (using those exact words) in your
subject line, for the same reasons stated above. Please also
rest assured that you will not receive spam generated by Rooftop
Sessions -- We do
not give or sell our mailing list to anyone, and the only messages you
will get will be the announcements at the beginning of every
month regarding the new issue, unless there is a special announcement
at another time. (Special announcements do not happen very
often.)
