“I bought a ticket. What d’ya think, my boss set me up here, just like yours!”

“Hey, you Timesman with the funny hat! Move it! I can’t see anything!”

“Tough luck!”

“Man, can’t believe I’m being shoved from one side to the other because of that band”.

“You don’t like the Beatles?”

“If I say that aloud, I’ll get murdered here!”

“Hey, you! You! Yes, you! Get the fuck out of the view! You think you’re invisible or something?”

“Man, talk about a packed room. There are reporters up to the ceiling!”

“They’d be hanging off the chandeliers, if there were any!”

“Are they here yet?”

“I’ve heard the plane’s just landed”.

“Oy, can anyone tell those girls to shut the heck up back here? I can’t hear my thoughts, for Christ’s sake!”

“They are not even good-looking, why on Earth are they shouting for?”

“That’s what you think!”

“What, you think they look good?”

“Hey, stop pushing me!”
“What the hell? They are causing a commotion at the back!”

“Stop pushing! Hey! You! Stop pushing altogether, you animals!”

“You’re gonna get us killed up here! Stop!”

“What they hell is all the fuss about? It’s not like the fuckin’ Beatles will land at La Guardia!”

“Damn Daily News people, if you wanted to be here up front you should’ve

arrived early!”

“Shove it!”

“Hey, someone lost a shoe. Did anyone lose the left shoe? Dark brown leather, left shoe?”

“Who on Earth would lose a shoe?”

“Hey, this place’s so packed, a girl could lose her virtue and not notice!”

“Attention, please! Can I get your attention, please!”

“There we go. They have arrived.”

“About time!”
